Gobi Fry

Author’s notes

A classic vegetarian entree which uses few ingredients, no heat and is quick to put together.


ingredients (Serves 4)

1 medium cauliflower

3 tomatoes chopped

1 tablespoon ginger diced

1 teaspoon cumin seeds

1 teaspoon turmeric

Salt to taste

1 tablespoon oil

Cilantro to garnish


DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oil in a pan.

  2. Add cumin seeds.

  3. Once browned, add ginger and saute.

  4. Add te cauliflower, turmeric and salt.

  5. Saute and cover till it gets soft.

  6. Add chopped tomatoes and mix.

  7. Cover and cook till tomatoes soften.

  8. Garnish with cilantro

  9. Seve hot with naan, roti or rice.
