Chicken Tikka -Boneless pieces of chicken marinated and grilled or cooked in a pan

A quick and easy appetizer that is a favorite kebab in North India.


INGREDIENTS

1 lb. Chicken thighs cut up in bite-size pieces.

1-inch ginger grated

6 cloves of garlic minced

3/4 cup greek yogurt

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon mango powder

1 teaspoon garam masala

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

2 tablespoons. oil

Salt to taste


DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine all ingredients except the oil in a bowl and set aside.

  2. Let it marinade for 5-6 hours. Do not exceed 12 hours.

  3. Heat oil in a pan. Arrange the chicken in a single layer in a hot pan on high heat.

  4. Let it cook through.

  5. Once seared on both sides and cooked through, serve by itself or with roti/nan.
